Transducer thru hull trick

I had a garmin transducer on but kept getting hit by wood. Once it finally broke off I went with a thru hull using the existing oem bracket.

unrelated to the transducer - your trailer bunks looks weird to me. i think you want the hull resting on the all plastic face of the bunk not on the sides where its plastic/carpet as shown in your photos. the sides have screws sticking out and i imagine could deeply scratch your Al.

impressively clean bottom btw! you in fresh water?

Hi Brett

Good eye… the bunks flopped over. We were able to position them correctly and put the impact on the nuts to secure her down.

As far as bottom goes I use it in salt but store it on a trailer.

Will be interested how long that lasts, which transducer did you put in? I had my industry buddy check with Airmar and they aren’t rated for submersion.

Must be sealed well. Works great. If I did it again I might add 5200 on it
