Spotter window seals

Anyone replaced the exterior seals on the upper spotter windows. Source? Tips?

No, but I need to do one of our bow ones. What did you find out? I imagine removing the interior screws and then seating a new seal around the window or maybe it comes as one piece?

The seal pops out easily. seems to have shrunken with age. think it’s a quick fix - just need to find the right stuff. Will call Diamond Seaglaze tomorrow and see if they have it.

No go on the seals. Here’s what Safeboat said:

“We currently do not offer any type of replacement seal for the windows. I have seen others use a good marine sealant around the window and the rubber seal to keep the seal from pulling out further. If you would like to replace the windows, I can work up a quote for new spotter windows.”

AdvanTec has this in stock.

PN-103059, GLZMAT SANTP BLK D5.

$4.00 USD per foot.

I estimate about 90-100ft to do all the spotter and main windows on the boat.

Anyone else in the PNW interested in doing this sometime soon. Wonder if advantec would do a group-buy discount on it.

What did Diamond Seaglaze say?

DSG was acquired by Adventec. This is the seal product:

I pulled my spotter window seals out and cleaned everything up really good then conditioned them with silicone conditioner. They feel better, but over the years - many of them have shrunk - so they leave a .75" - 1.5" gap in the stripping. I did a temp fix for now but would be interested in redoing them all next year.
