N2K compatible?

Mismatched outboards. Can I connect N2K?

Does N2K connect to Nema on chart plotter or only Honda gauges?

Depends on what year, it was around 2010 it started being included, you can call a dealer and they should be able to tell you.
It transmits standard n2k sentences so will work on any gauge or plotter that supports n2k gauges, that said the simrad (oem Honda) has the slickest 2 motor display.
You will need to change the instance I’d of one of the motors as the uscg never instanced them correctly, I think stb is 0 and port is 1, mine had both on 0 so the data conflicts.
I’d avoid the Honda oem stuff, save money on simrad or go garmin, to me using up much of the plotter screen space for gauges is not really worth it as the gauges aren’t that expensive in the long run.

I think you’re out of luck… based on boats.net info your two motors are:

BF225AK0 XCA VIN# BAHJ-1500001 to BAHJ-1599999
~Around 2007-ish

BF225A2 XA
BAGJ-1100001 to BAGJ-1199999
~Around 2003-ish

I believe that N2K connections were not available on the AK0 motors and only first showed on the AK2 version (not the older A2 you have).

There are a several Honda engine gurus on the Honda forum at marineengine.com that would know for sure, it’s a great source of info - but oddly down/offline at the moment.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback
