Double Time is a 2009 Safeboat I purchased a few years ago in Ventura, CA. She is now located on Orcas Island about as far from Brett as possible considering we live on the same island! Thank you Brett for setting this up it’s something I’ve thought about since buying my boat.
The previous owners(two brothers in Ojai, CA) made a deal with their wives… all the money they made at work on straight time and overtime went to their families. They saved their double time earnings and bought this boat- and named it Double Time. The wives apparently were unimpressed and they sold it to me, but I liked the name so it stayed! DT now plies the waters of the Salish Sea doing Double Duty as my commuter for work and as a work boat helping service moorings and docks in the region for North Island Marine Services (www.frogmarine.com)
