On the water I can get 80 gallons in the tank. At this point the tank starts burping a lot and I can’t seem to get the last 20 gallons in. On the trailer I can get closer to a full tank. Any solutions?
I have no issues getting the tank completely full to where I can see the fuel level in the fill hose, I do find it burps with about 10-15g to go, I just slow down a bit. I’d double check your vent lines, often spiders and what not make homes in there. I use the fuel computer to determine tank volume, I set my tanks to 95g so I know I always have 10 in reserve.
i use a cleanway and it helps deal with the burping when going full speed. definitely blow out your vent lines and check that the mesh under the aluminum cap isn’t clogged.
FWIW - I always thought it was 105G also, but the schematic shows a 100G tank. I ran out of fuel just around the corner from Cap Sante last week - was pushing the envelope a bit… My N2K burn-counter showed 92G burned and after getting towed to the fuel dock and refilling - I was only able to get 93G in the tank. Was a calm day. Starboard flamed out first and port a minute later - my pickup hoses must be at different locations, or maybe the port-lean affects it.
My tank max volume is now set to 90G!
Hmm, I’ll reset mine as well to 90. It’s been pretty consistent on a fill up I put in 2ish gallons more than my engines say they used.
