Auxiliary fuel tank

Anyone have an auxiliary fuel tank for extended trips or back up?

I started working out a solution while chasing some engine issues I thought was fuel. Pretty simple, I’d do a Y valve between the tank and the Racors and then a cover plate over a hole to let the aux tubes into the cockpit area. You will need two and two aux tanks most likely. The big issue I saw was none of the quick connect fittings are rated for our HP so you may have fuel starvation at higher rpm. That said this setup would allow you to deal with getting bad fuel which is an advantage. On our trawler I’m very careful to not fill all the tanks when up north as fuel quality can be spotty and I always want a known good tank of diesel.

The other solution would be getting a tank you just transfer fuel with, they make really handy fuel transfer pumps that run on batteries, they are basically the only way I fuel out tender or my land toys. When I went to find you the link Amazon reminded me I’ve purchased these 5 times so obviously I like them
