Do you guys fly your flag when underway? What’s the secret to attach it to the mast? I’m using clips to keep tension and it works ok except when I go fast and then it gets all twisted and folded on itself or the reel.
I’m guessing the coasties had a way to keep it looking tidy when under way .
I use carbineers and attach the flag to the all-around white light mast. My RBS has a piece of metal with holes that make it easy to quickly attach and detach.
I should have also said I use 2 carbineers at the on the left edge (top and bottom) of the flag so I don’t have the twisting problem.

my setup is similar, but i’m using smaller carabineers and my top-mount is a rubber-oring to put a bit more tension between the points. maybe i’ll experiment with bigger carabineers like this and see if it’s better without the tension.
