Scupper flap vs bags

Experimented with the scupper flaps vs bags that are safeboat standard. I liked them at first - felt neater and seems to work ok - but after 6mo and then pulling I’m not a fan starboard is fine port side flapper is bent and deformed and no longer sealing, so don’t seem to be adding any value.

Will probably go back to bags. Anyone else like the flaps long-term?

I strongly recommend the Scupper socks Safeboats sells. The flaps fail and let water flow onto the deck when sitting idle. The socks are designed not to do that. They are under $35 and always in stock.

yeah - gonna switch back. thanks for the weigh-in… nice to see ya posting on here Sean!
